When it’s time to throw those marinated steaks on the barbeque and entertain friends it’s hard to deal with the sun beating down on your head. Well placed umbrellas can really help-but tend to trap the smoke and are easily damaged in the wind. I love to barbeque-but hate the work of cleaning all the dust on my island and barbeque before hand. One solution is to build an detached patio cover or gazebo over your barbeque. It should be large enough to cover your island, guests and chairs. A ceiling fan is a must- and can eliminate the need for a specialized ceiling vent.
